Desingu Raja starring Vemal and Bindu Madhavi in the lead roles is directed by Ezhil of 'Manam Kothi Paravai' fame. The film is slated for release in August. The film is a full-length comedy set in two villages which are perpetually at conflict with one another. In the film, Vemal plays the role of an ardent MGR fan, working in a fruit shop and his character name is Ithayakani. Music by Imman. The film is produced by Escape Artists Motion Pictures.
